A top coat for nails is a clear polish applied over nail color to seal, protect, and add shine (or a matte finish, depending on the type). It helps prevent chipping, extends the life of a manicure, and gives nails a smooth, professional look.

How to Apply Top Coat for Nails

Step 1: Start with Dry Polish

• Ensure your nail polish is completely dry before applying a top coat to prevent smudging.

Step 2: Load the Brush Properly

• Dip the brush into the bottle and remove excess product by wiping one side against the rim.

Step 3: Apply in Thin Strokes

• Start at the center of the nail, just above the cuticle, and glide the brush toward the tip.
• Then, apply on both sides to fully cover the nail.

Step 4: Seal the Edges

• Swipe the brush along the tip of your nail (capping the free edge) to prevent chipping.

Step 5: Let It Dry Completely

 For gel top coat, cure under a UV/LED lamp as required.
